Okay so today was an okay day. I am still trying to get rid of that crazy storage shed out front and did a little work in it. I made cookies for Krystal to take to her class to share because my darling little girl turned 9 on Monday. They had Mardi Gras break so she wasn't there so here I was at 6am making chocolate chip cookies. I was tired and added a little more flour than usual and didn't pat the cookies down the first time I made them and one of the kids (can't remember which but gosh there are so many it could have been them all LOL) said hey mom the cookies are poofy. Then David came home from Seminary and said Teresa what happened to the cookies and I was like so ready to scream! Well the rest of them turned out fine. I watched the time and took them out before they were brown and I had flattened them so they wouldn't look like little golf balls. Not my usual cookies but I saved them from utter destruction. and Hey they were eaten and loved!
Krystal: Well as I said her Birthday was Monday it was a really crazy day and the poor thing didn't get a party until 8pm and I forgot to take pictures. Sooooo, I am going to have to get her to pose with her gifts because I can't have no pictures for her 9th birthday she will forever think that she is the unloved child. Why is it always my poor Krystal that gets gypped.
I took Brandon to Karate today. He is doing great. I also took all the kids so that I could go straight to the "Reflections of Christ" exhibit after he was done. They all decided they had to use restroom while we were there. So much so that when Brandon asked his Sin say if he could use the restroom the Sin say joked about ours must be out at home!!! How embarrassing.
Took the kids to the exhibit. It was beautiful. Jessica kept asking questions about the pictures.
Jessica: Mommy why is Jesus bleeding?
Mom: Because the Roman Soldiers hurt him they didn't know what they were doing.
Jessica: Mommy why did they hurt Jesus?
How do you explain that to a 5 year old? I tried as best I could.
Jessica: Mommy is Jesus alive
Mom: Yes he was resurrected.
Jessica: When was he rected Mommy?
And the questions continued. You got to love the teaching moments.
Sounds spiritual and wonderful. Well all of this happened after I took Jared out to his Dad because he was running around like a crazy man inside the exhibit. Like I said ya gotta love it.
On the way home I began singing songs about the Savior. Oh how I love to sing. All in all it was a really great day.
