Man Sense!!!! Really????
Okay, so I know that is a really strange title so let me explain. Friday, Alecia and Brandon had a youth activity out at a lake near our town. As we were leaving Brandon informed everyone that he knew exactly where we were going and would not let anyone dissuade him from his belief. Alecia even said that the lake was awful big but he still was adamant. Then I said something similar to Alecia and asked him how he knew where we were going and his answer, are you ready for this yeah I guess I already gave it to you, "Man Sense" LOL So after I finish laughing, (you got to admit that it is hilarious) I tell him that he could tell me where to turn but he had to tell me before I did anything to give away the turn like slow down or put on my blinkers. So he's like really into it still acting all macho HeHeHe . Of course the first few turns were right He knew the general direction but then he told me to turn at the first sign and I had to go another 10 or so miles to the next one. So he officially got the title "full of crud" Ya I know I shouldn't have used something so close to the bad word but I let it slip. Then I let him know that this event was totally blog worthy and his cute statement was " There goes my Life" LOL So melodramatic. I just love it.

Kindergarten Kisses!!!!
I forgot one major event today. I'm minding my own business driving home after picking the kids up from school, thinking about all I have to get done for the day and then I start listening to my children in the back seat. Jessica is talking about one of her friends at school and then she starts saying that he likes to kiss her! Okay Now they have my full attention and I say what do you mean he likes to kiss you. and she says he likes to kiss her a Lot. O my goodness hyperventilation time. What the heck do they let these kindergartners do and who the heck is the Cameron kid anyways. So I ask more questions and the more info I get the more I want to pull all my darling kids out of school and Home school!!! Well maybe not that but something. So I ask her to tell me what he does and she says that he kisses her. So we get home because the trip really isn't that long and I pull her up to my seat and I said show me and she kisses me on the cheek so really how bad can that be except my 5 year old daughter has gotten her first kiss in Kindergarten!!!!!!!! Sooooo I say is that all and she says no he kisses my hand. Okay so there is this little Don Juan at Cherokee Elementary going around kissing my daughters hand, arm and cheek. So I tell her that we don't kiss and she says well I kiss Daddy and I say well that's okay but we only kiss family She says oh we don't kiss at school and I am like no we don't kiss at school and you can't kiss anywhere else unless its family or your married. So what do ya think. Should I worry?!? Oh and it was really cute hearing Brandon do the big brother thing telling her that she should kick his but or slap him or something. YIKES
Ramblings of a good day!
Okay so today was an okay day. I am still trying to get rid of that crazy storage shed out front and did a little work in it. I made cookies for Krystal to take to her class to share because my darling little girl turned 9 on Monday. They had Mardi Gras break so she wasn't there so here I was at 6am making chocolate chip cookies. I was tired and added a little more flour than usual and didn't pat the cookies down the first time I made them and one of the kids (can't remember which but gosh there are so many it could have been them all LOL) said hey mom the cookies are poofy. Then David came home from Seminary and said Teresa what happened to the cookies and I was like so ready to scream! Well the rest of them turned out fine. I watched the time and took them out before they were brown and I had flattened them so they wouldn't look like little golf balls. Not my usual cookies but I saved them from utter destruction. and Hey they were eaten and loved!
Krystal: Well as I said her Birthday was Monday it was a really crazy day and the poor thing didn't get a party until 8pm and I forgot to take pictures. Sooooo, I am going to have to get her to pose with her gifts because I can't have no pictures for her 9th birthday she will forever think that she is the unloved child. Why is it always my poor Krystal that gets gypped.
I took Brandon to Karate today. He is doing great. I also took all the kids so that I could go straight to the "Reflections of Christ" exhibit after he was done. They all decided they had to use restroom while we were there. So much so that when Brandon asked his Sin say if he could use the restroom the Sin say joked about ours must be out at home!!! How embarrassing.
Took the kids to the exhibit. It was beautiful. Jessica kept asking questions about the pictures.
Jessica: Mommy why is Jesus bleeding?
Mom: Because the Roman Soldiers hurt him they didn't know what they were doing.
Jessica: Mommy why did they hurt Jesus?
How do you explain that to a 5 year old? I tried as best I could.
Jessica: Mommy is Jesus alive
Mom: Yes he was resurrected.
Jessica: When was he rected Mommy?
And the questions continued. You got to love the teaching moments.
Sounds spiritual and wonderful. Well all of this happened after I took Jared out to his Dad because he was running around like a crazy man inside the exhibit. Like I said ya gotta love it.
On the way home I began singing songs about the Savior. Oh how I love to sing. All in all it was a really great day.

Spiritual Highs
Last night we went to wonderful concert at church. Alex Boye (sp) a member of the Mormon Tabernacle choir and a few friends came to the church. They started the kick off of a wonderful art exhibit "Reflections of Christ". They first showed a documentary of the making of these photographs (Michelle you would love it!) It was so awesome. They put a lot of thought planning scripture study and prayer into these great representations of events in Christs life. I was very touched throughout this whole video presentation. I also enjoyed the music what an understatement! It was AWESOME. I just love to hear music at its best. They sang songs like Amazing Grace and Be still my Soul. OOOOO it just gave me goose bumps.
One of my favorite things was when Alex Boye talked about an experience he had. He is very charismatic. He told of meeting a girl whom he had known before. He off handedly asked her how she was and then was told after 2 hours. She told him of a life of very hard experiences, cutting her wrists, children from three men, and drug addictions. She came from a strong family who taught her the gospel and about Christ but she fell away. He didn't know what to tell her but he prayed really hard and felt that he should tell her to take him to her car and get in. So that is what they did. Then he felt inspired to ask to see her CD collection. When she showed him it was full of inappropriate music. He asked her to let him have her collection for a week. Very timidly and not wanting to she agreed. She called him two days later telling him that she had felt better than ever. Then he asked what we would be willing to give up for our Savior. Oh the spirit was so strong. There were definitely things in my life that I want to do better and I renewed my commitment to my Heavenly Father. So check our the church bookstores and look for the music, Dvd and book for the Reflections of Christ. I think there is also a web site if I find it I will post a link later.
